PARENTS
You are your kid's number one role model

Parents can substantially reduce the odds their child will smoke, drink alcohol, use other drugs and engage in early and unsafe sex.

"Parents are the single most important influence on children's decision to smoke, drink or use drugs, yet many parents do not fully understand the extent of their influence." *

Child development research shows the important following items parents should know about smoking:

Parents are a child’s number one role model and have the most influence on their lives. Children may argue or seem to tune parents out, but they still look up to and listen to what they have to say.

Parents are the most influential people on today's children. It is important to understand that talking about not smoking to your children is not something that you do once and forget about. It is a series of discussions that you'll have many times while your children grow and change with the times. Even if your children agree, argue, or seem to ignore you, you must keep at it.

At Smoke Free Society Education, we are truly committed to help prevent children from staring to smoke. Parents will find our website, programs and advice useful and practical.

The Smoke Free Society Education is here to assist you in helping your children understand the consequences of smoking and preventing them from starting.

Remember, they will appreciate and thank you for giving them such a valuable gift when they are older.
